Around the room they said they were going to put votives….we can make our own votives and scatter them around with theirs!
Along with the Burlap sign, these would add such a cute customized look to the shower! This should be easy to make…Mason Jars or Jelly Jars, chalkboard paint, chalk and then tealight candles! I love it!
Also since we will have our own “specialty cocktail drink” I think it would be fun to have a sign at the bar that tells what the drinks are. To keep within this look I was thinking of a frame painted white and the color the inside with chalkboard paint!

This woman makes them customized also! How cute would this be at the Gramercy Park Hotel. We can write: Alysons Shower, Alyson <3 Jason…this could be adorable, the burlap goes perfectly with the decor of the GPH and look I wanted to go for!
Below are the belts that I am making for the bridesmaids! The gray one is from JCrew and I am trying to construct mine like that.
I got the grosgrain and strips of sparkly fabric at MJ Trimmings. I can use each fabric for 2 belts so everyone can have a choice! I am going to cut the sparkly fabric the same length as the jewels in the JCrew one and with the extra fabric make the stones look like they are cascading on the sides like the JCrew one.
The 2nd belt with the rosettes are for my cousin Lexie and will be so cute for her!
Can’t wait to see what these end up looking like! (The first picture is what it actually looks like, 2nd picture has more exposure so you can see the details)
Look what I found on 100 Layer Cake, how gorgeous and smart!
And if we took this idea from Martha Stewart and gave tea bags as well!
